Any additional costs incurred by Amazilia Tours relating to the transfer have to be paid for by the transferee. Reasonable notice must be given to Amazilia Tours about such a transfer and cannot be made within 60 days of departure. Once again, Amazilia Tours strongly recommends to its clients to take out travel insurance. Tour Cancellation Amazilia Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour for which there are insufficient reservations not less than 8 weeks before the departure date. In the event of cancellation, all deposits and other payments made to Amazilia Tours will be refunded in full. Cost Increases These may occur unexpectedly. If unexpected cost rises occur, due to the increasing costs of airfares, ground transportation and accommodation, or because of fluctuating exchange rates, Amazilia Tours may have to increase the tour cost. In this case, clients will be notified not less than 12 weeks before the departure date with an explanation of the amount. What the Tour Price Includes The tour price includes: all travels with the exception of the international flight or of the mean of travelling used by the client to reach the meeting point at the beginning of the tour; accommodation and all meals (with the exception of any type of alcoholic beverage and of all type of beverage taken out of the meals); the services of the tour leader(s) throughout. In addition, the following items are not included in the cost of the tour and are at the clients' own responsibility: airport taxes, travel insurance, passport and visa costs, vaccinations and medication, excess baggage charges, any type of baggage/personal items loss or damage at any stage of the tour, telephone calls, internet service, laundry, tips and items of a personal nature. Tour Alterations Changes in the itinerary may occur even though tours are carefully planned, if these will benefit the tour by providing better birdwatching opportunities. The itinerary detailed in the brochure is therefore an illustration of the sites we may visit to gain the maximum birdwatching benefit from the tour. According to this, any list provided is merely an indication of the species we may encounter on a tour; if specific bird species are missed, it is out of Amazilia Tours' responsibility. A change in the order that locations are visited is not deemed to be a major change. Should a major change of itinerary or schedule be forced on us while the tour is in progress by, for example, traffic accident, strikes, weather delay or breakdown, any additional costs will not be of Amazilia Tours' responsibility. Passport, Visa and Health Requirements All participants are responsible for, and must be in possession of, a full passport, valid for at least six months beyond the end of the tour. All participants are responsible for any necessary visas and vaccination certificates required for the tour. In addition, it is the participants' absolute responsibility to seek medical advice regarding vaccinations and medication to ensure that they are prepared by the date of departure. Any medical information supplied by Amazilia Tours must be considered as a guide only. Accommodation Single rooms' supplement is 15%. Single rooms are normally available. If the client is travelling singly but want to share a room, every effort will be made by Amazilia Tours to find someone of the same sex for the client to share with; if this is not possible, however, Amazilia Tours will have to charge the client a single room supplement. If the client has reserved a single room on a tour and one is not available, the client may expect a pro-rata refund for that day. On rare occasions the accommodation that has been reserved for the tour may not be available and in this unlikely event of circumstances, the leader will endeavor to obtain alternative accommodation of a similar standard although it may be of a lesser standard. Insurance Travel insurance is absolutely essential and is the client's absolute responsibility. Please note that travel insurance rarely provides sufficient cover for optical equipment. Restrictions on Participation Amazilia Tours do not normally entail strenuous activity but, if this cannot be avoided, it will be made clear in the tour details. Nevertheless, participants must be able to complete moderate walks of several miles a day, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces, to meet the schedule of the tour. If you have any health problems or physical limitations, you are required to advise Amazilia Tours prior to booking. Any type of food intolerance or food restriction will have to be notified by the client prior to departure. Subject to the itinerary of the tour, however, Amazilia Tours can usually arrange for a half or a full day's rest for those who wish to opt out at any time. In this case, no refund for any of the activities not made by the client will be made. Amazilia Tours reserves the right to send home at their own expense and without any form of refund any person who will not conduct themselves in an acceptable manner, at Amazilia Tours sole discretion. Group Size and Leaders For our customized tours, group size varies from a single individual to a maximum of 10 persons. Suitable maximum group size to enjoy the tour will depend upon the tour location. Amazilia Tours reserves the right to change leaders without notice. For groups travelling through any type of birding/nature club, group size is subject to notification by the latter. Amazilia Tours' Responsibility Amazilia Tours will not accept liability for physical injury, illness, loss, damage or expense resulting from any event whatsoever beyond its control. Insurance is therefore absolutely essential.
